We have read a report from CNBC Africa that says Nigeria may delay its
February 14 presidential elections, if after February 8th the number of
PVCs in distribution is still too low.
According to CNBC, Anima Zachary, a commissioner for the Independent
Nigerian Electoral Committee said to Reuters: "Let's see how the PVC
(permanent voter card) distribution goes by Feb 8, then maybe..."
She noted that not concrete decision has been taken yet, but that INEC
extended its PVC collection deadline so voters could collect their
cards, but so far only 44 million of the 68.8 million have been
distributed.
Today, is it exactly 10 days to the momentous election.
