BIBLE READING:
1KINGS 18:36-39
36,
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the
evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near,
and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel,
let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel,
and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all
these things at thy word.
37:
Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may
know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast
turned their heart back again.
38:
Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the
burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and
the dust, and licked up the water that was in the
trench.
39:
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their
faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the
LORD, he is the God.

Bible in one year
Jeremiah 26-27
Acts 20:1-16
Message:
The term "fire of God" is often used symbolically in
the Bible to portray the presence of God, the Power
of God, His judgement, His purifying work and as His
emblem of the anointing. In today's Bible reading, the
fire of God was presented as a symbol of His
presence and power. It is highly desirable to witness
the presence of God, the outpouring of His anointing
and the manifestation of His power.
Whenever God
decides to reveal Himself through any one of these
means, natural laws become temporarily suspended,
and miracles, signs and wonders of great magnitude
always occur. Consequently, the children of God
should always seek such special opportunities to
experience the supernatural.
However, if you want the fire of God to fall, you must
be ready to pay the price. You can see in today's
reading that Prophet Elijah took some deliberate
steps before He called for the fire of God to fall.

First,
he waited for the appointed time of worship before he
commenced with the repairs of the altar of the Lord
that was broken down. He then rebuilt the altar in the
Name of the Lord. Next, he did everything orderly and
meticulously, following divine instructions.
Thereafter, he called upon the Name of the Lord in
prayer and thanksgiving, and God answered by fire.
If you want God's fire to fall, you must first repair
and rebuild the altar of God in your life. You must
present yourself before God as a living sacrifice
without any iota of blemish (Romans 12:1), and be a
true worshipper who worships God in spirit and in
truth. You need to adhere strictly to the instructions
of God as contained in the Bible, and then you must
learn to wait patiently for God.
Note that there was a
waiting before the fire fell at Pentecost (Acts 1:4).
The benefits of the fire of God cannot be over
emphasised. It brings overflowing anointing, divine
revelation, healing, miracles, signs and wonders.

It leads to the suspension of the laws of nature and a
transition into the realm of the supernatural. It makes
you a terror to the kingdom of darkness and a true
servant and representative of the Most High God.
May the fire of God fall mightily upon you today in the
Name of Jesus.
Prayer Point:
Jesus, You are the one who baptizes with the Holy
Ghost and with fire; please saturate my life with your
fire.
Amen.
