Lil Wayne Files Lawsuit Asking For $51 million From Birdman
So the in-house battle between Lil Wayne and mentor, Birdman still rages on.
According to TMZ, Lil Wayne has filed a lawsuit asking the judge to end his contract with Cash Money records.
Lil Wayne claims that Birdman and his record label violated the deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars the record label owes him for his long delayed album “The Carter V”
The world famous rapper, Weezy said he’s entitled to walk away since Birdman refused to pay him, also he wants the judge to declare he’s the joint owner of all Young Money recordings and he wants to take his artistes along with him.
Sources close to Weezy revealed that if Birdman put a stake up then Weezy can release his album “The Carter V”, but only if Lil Wayne gets paid.
According to TMZ, Wayne was supposed to get a $8 million advance when he began recording in December 2013 and another $2m when he completed the album a year later, but up till this moment he hasn’t gotten a dime
