Real Madrid are willing
to let Gareth Bale join Manchester United, but only if David de Gea is
included in any potential deal, according to reports from The Mirror.
The Red Devils have made the former Spurs
ace their top target for the end of the season, with the Premier League
ready to commit to a ‘Galactico’ era of big spending on top stars to
boost the club’s value and profile.
Reports suggest that United are keen to
pay up to £120m – which will smash the £86m transfer record currently
held by Real and Bale – to land the 25-year-old, but Los Blancos want De
Gea included.
The reigning European champions have
earmarked the 24-year-old Old Trafford stopper as a long-term
replacement for club idol Iker Casillas, and have been impressed by his
stunning displays between the sticks for Louis van Gaal’s team this
season.
De Gea recent dislodged his Real
counterpart to become Spain’s top goalie, and there are suggestions that
a return to his homeland to represent one of the top clubs may boost
his chances of keeping the jersey.
